What actually needs to fit

Strip your booth down to what it really is: wall panels to hang art on, something to hold them up, maybe some signage. That's it. The panels are the bulky part, so that's where you fix the problem first.

Why flat-pack beats folding

Folding frames still have hinges and joints. They fold down, sure, but they don't flatten. A true flat-pack system, like the frosted polypropylene panels and ABS connectors in our kits, breaks apart into thin, stackable pieces. There's a real difference between "smaller" and "flat," and your suitcase only cares about flat.

Flying solo and want maximum portability? Start with the Core kit at 24 panels, the lightest footprint for a first table setup. Need more wall space? The Shapeshift Base (46 panels) still travels light. The Shapeshift kit at 70 panels is the most popular size, the all-rounder that covers a standard convention table without pushing your carry-on limits. Going bigger with the Shapeshift Max (92 panels) means you'll likely want to check a bag, but even then you're checking ONE bag, not a crate.

Setup speed matters just as much as size

A carry-on booth is useless if it takes you an hour to build at your table with a line forming behind you. These kits snap together with no tools and go up in under 30 minutes. Panels click into ABS connectors, PLA hooks hold your prints and merch. You're not hunting for an allen key at 8am on setup day.

Go up a kit size and check one bag. Even the Shapeshift Max still packs flat, so it's one manageable checked item instead of an oversized crate that gets flagged as freight.

How tall can I build with a carry-on kit?

Panels are 35x35cm and you can stack up to 5 high, which gets you about 175cm (roughly 69 inches) of wall. Plenty for a standard table backdrop.
