You do not need the full booth on day one. Nobody does. Most vendors start with a folding table, a few grid walls borrowed from a friend, and a lot of hope. That is fine. What matters is what you buy next, and whether it actually fits what you already have.
Here is the trap. A lot of vendors buy cheap, mismatched pieces early because they are scared to spend money on something they might outgrow. Then six months later they are buying a whole new setup because none of it connects to what they already own. That is buying twice for one booth.
Buy the system, not the size
The fix is simple. Buy into a system where every panel and every connector is cross-compatible across kits. Start with a smaller kit for your first few shows, then add panels later when your table grows or you move up to a bigger space. You are not replacing anything. You are adding to it.
That is the whole idea behind our kits. Start with a Shapeshift Base kit if you are not sure how big you will end up going. It is the smart default because it expands cleanly with add-ons instead of boxing you in.
Know the sizes before you commit
Our lineup runs from a Core kit with 24 panels for low walls or half tables, up through Shapeshift Base at 46 panels, Shapeshift at 70 panels for a full table with tall framing, and Shapeshift Max at 92 panels for double tables, corners, or a proper booth. You can start at Core and grow all the way to Max using the same connectors. Nothing gets thrown out.
Think in tables, not panels
Every kit fits a standard 180cm (6ft) table and builds up to 5 panels high, which is about 175cm or 69 inches. When you are ready to go bigger, two kits combine into a 360cm (12ft) double setup for corner booths. You do not need to plan the whole thing out today. You just need a starting kit that will not fight you later.
Setup time matters more than people think
A booth you can build small and confidently is a booth you will actually set up right, every single time. Our kits go up in under 30 minutes with no tools, which matters just as much at show 40 as it does at show one. See how the kits compare before you pick your starting size.
FAQ
What size kit should I start with if I only have a half table right now?
The Core kit is built for exactly this. Low walls, half tables, a light footprint you can carry easily. You can add a Shapeshift Base add-on set later without buying a new system.
Can I really combine two different kit sizes later?
Yes. Every panel and connector across every kit size is cross-compatible, so a Core kit and a Shapeshift kit will lock together without adapters or workarounds.
Do I need to plan my final booth size before I buy anything?
No. That is the point of starting small. Buy for where you are now and add as your table grows. You are never locked into the first size you pick.
