What Happens When Your Display Doesn't Match Your Table Size

You show up with a massive backdrop. The table is half the size you expected. Now your display hangs over the edge, blocks your neighbour, and screams "I did NOT plan this."

It happens more often than you think. And it is completely preventable.

The Standard Table Problem

Most conventions and markets give you a 180cm (6ft) table. Some give you 120cm. A few generous ones offer 240cm. The problem is that vendors build displays at home without knowing which one they are getting.

A display built for a 180cm table on a 120cm surface means panels hanging off the edge, products crammed together, and zero breathing room. A display built for 120cm on a 180cm table looks sad and empty with awkward gaps on both sides.

How To Size Your Display Right

Build for the standard 180cm table first. Our modular display kit is designed to fit exactly this width. The panels are 35x35cm each, so you can calculate your footprint before you leave the house.

If your table turns out smaller, remove side panels. If it is bigger, spread your products wider into the extra space. Modular means you ADAPT instead of panic.

What To Do When You Get There And It Is Wrong

First, breathe. Second, look at your display as building blocks, not a fixed unit. Remove the outermost columns if the table is smaller. Shift your hero products to the centre. Use the spare panels as risers or flat displays on the table surface instead.

The vendors who handle this well are the ones who practised removing panels at home. Five minutes of rehearsal saves thirty minutes of sweating at 7am.
